On 23/3, the World Meteological Organization (WMO) and its 188 members together with the world meteologists celebrate the World Meteological Day (23/3). On 19/3 morning in Hà Nội, MONRE celebrated the World Water Day (22/3)and the World Meteological Day (23/3) with the participation of MONRE leaders, ministries, national and internatinal organizations... 

"Weather, climate and air that we are breathing" is the topic for the World Meteological Day 2009. By this messege, WMO desired to increase the awreness of people on close relationship between weather, climate and air components and its impact on human health. WMO hoped that the scientists would strengthen the application of meteological models to advance the assessment and forecast of air pollutions. Timely, reliabe and exact forecast on air quality contribute considerably to protection of human life and assets and as good input for traditional weather forecast news.

The topic of World Water Day this year is "Share water, share oppotunities" to warn and call for developing cooperation in sharing oppotunities and responsibilties in water resources of international rivers for the sake of present and and future generations.
