Hanoi, 29/10/2010 - Bach Mai Hospital and Lien Aid signed a Memorandum of Agreement committing to improve water supply quality and RO water quality in renal care at Bach Mai Hospital. It is part of Lien Aid’s 1million USD commitment to MOH in order to improve water supply quality and waste water quality for hospitals in Vietnam till 2014.

The S$160,000 financial assistance from Lien Aid covers the installation of a softening system of 2,000m3/day to improve domestic water quality to supply to various departments and to reduce stress on RO system at Dialysis Centre of Bach Mai Hospital. In addition, Lien Aid in partnership with National Kidney Foundation (Singapore) provides technical assistance and fund to rearrange and improve RO system at Dialysis Centre in order to optimize its operation. It is expected that 91,000 patients annually benefit from the project.
